Same metrics, same conditions
Ask every quote for SEER2 (and HSPF2 for heat pumps) under the current DOE ratings, plus the AHRI reference number for the outdoor/indoor pair. Without that, efficiency claims are not comparable.
Same scope of work
Line set replacement, pad, electrical disconnect, thermostat, permit, haul-away, and duct repairs change the real price. Our install pull sheet / estimate form captures those items so scope is clear.
Brand is only one choice
Carrier, Lennox, and Trane all offer multiple tiers. Comfort in Florida humidity often depends more on correct sizing, airflow, and installation quality than on logo alone—consistent with ACCA design practice.
